QuestionKalorik says the oven can roast a 5 lb chicken but a 12 lb turkey. Why the size difference? Also, why are the interior dimensions so much smaller than the exterior?

- Answer Hi Byubeautiful, Thank you for contacting us. The reason why we say the max amount of weight for a chicken in 5 lbs is because the rotisserie accessory can only hold a weight of up to 5 lbs. It is important to note that the maximum suggested size for anything on the rotisserie spit is 4-5 lbs allowing ample space to rotate within the cabinet. Turkeys are usually much larger and should be cooked on the baking tray, hence why we say a 12 lb turkey is the max. The interior of the Maxx includes the heating element and the fan, which is why the interior is smaller.

- Answer Thanks for the answer Kalorik, This unit has 21 presets. I researched this and found that there's a "Grill" preset added on your newer models. Looks like the only really notable difference between all your Maxx models is how many accessories are bundled with them. (That and the price)

QuestionI bought one and had to send it back. It got so HOT on the OUTSIDE that the handle burned my knuckle. Is it supposed to get that hot outside?

- Answer As instructed in the product manual under part 6 of the safeguard guidelines, unit must be unplugged from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

- Answer Hi there! Ceramics are generally fine to use in the oven. :) You can use any oven-safe cookware, so long as it fits inside the MAXX. Do not place directly on top of the heating elements.
