Yes, one of the functions is to dehydrate. I have used that but it is capable. Do not know the answer for question about lead.

On the directions it tells you how to dehydrate .I have not used that function yet. I love the air fryer and the baking part of this product. I had another popular air fryer and this outshines it. This is larger looks great and does a better job. I use this almost everyday at least once a day and it works great. I would buy this product again. I better read the directions again I must of missed the lead notification , with the cooking tools is there still some with lead out there, haven’t come across with any. If you are thinking about buying an all in one , this is one to buy. No other recommendations for a kitchen product that does so many things. Dee
