While it is in theory possible for Windows 10 to get a virus, this is not something that happens often and should not be a concern when purchasing a Kano PC. Windows 10 comes with built-in Virus & Threat Protection. You can find it in Settings > Updates & Security > Windows Security. This is enabled by default to scan & optimize the system regularly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Windows now comes with (for free) "Microsoft Defender Antivirus." You can buy additional antivirus software but I never have and I've never gotten a virus. Also, it may be less common but it is still possible for a chromebook to get a virus or be a victim of malware. The best protection is common sense, don't download weird links, pirated software, etc. and don't download attachments in emails from unknown parties...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am in line with "BBTO's" reply (it comes with Microsoft's Antivirus free, you can buy additional software (Best Buy often offers a discounted program with purchase), etc. As for Chromebooks, their advantage is NOT that they NEVER get viruses, but that 1) they come with built-in virus protection, and 2) they are set up to automatically deal with them, thanks to sandboxing, automatic updates, verified booting, data encryption and full Operating System recovery.
