“For the clip on version, how deep does the space need to be? I saw reference to the thickness (.3 inches to 3 inches thick), but I didn't see reference to the depth required. I ask because my desk has a sub edge, and so there is only 2 inches available.”

The easy-to-use clamp mechanism on the DM2000 allows for the depth to be adjusted between 0.3”− 3.0” (8 mm − 75 mm). that allows it to be installed on any desk or table.
