“Unfortunately I don’t have a centered stud on my wall. My stud is 4 Inches off center. Does this mount allow me to adjust or slide the TV over 4 inches on the mount portion that attaches to the TV ? So my TV will be centered on my wall?”

Yes, the mount will go side to side. I had to do the same thing about my fireplace as it was mounted flush with the stone behind it.
