“size and mounting question does the mount need to be screwed into the studs in the wall? we are moving into a new place and not sure of the stud space..... also does it fit 42 inch samsung?”

I recommend a stud mount because of the weight, but it does come with anchors.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.cd2016, You'll need to attach our mount to wooden studs or concrete / brick. The maximum stud spacing the PDX650 can handle is 16". If you're stud spacing is greater than 16" we'd recommend the PDX680 which has a wider wall plate. Most Samsung TV's will work without any issues but if you wanted to confirm compatibility contact us directly using the support button on our site and let us know the full model name.
