It can tilt but I don't think it can move up and down. I have it attached to a 75" tv so I would not attempt to test that. Otherwise it is a good mount. it moves out and back from the wall easily. However, I am a small person, and I needed another person to help me move it out and back. The installers said that it should be adjusted / moved with hands on both sides of the tv. for safety. That would be a problem created by the tv not the mount.
