You can pull the mount out far enough, it goes out almost 2' from the wall. The question will be the size of the unit versus the coverage of the TV over it. If they are too much the same it will not be covered. You really cannot put anything within the space of the mount without interfering with the arms and their movements. The part that mounts to the wall is about 11 1/2" x 23" approximately. The frame that attaches to the TV is larger. my OLED mounts lower on the screen due to its construction. The frame for the TV is adjustable for the TV. but if you pull it away from the wall you should be OK at least in that respect. hope that helps.
