They can mount on metal studs. Make sure you're using proper mounting hardware. Had one of those older heavy wall mount 65" tvs mounted to metal and no issue. Heavier the tv + further off wall your always testing mount and its bracket. Make sure proper size mount and the tvs weight is good for mount you buy. I always add an extra few anchors (wont hurt)

Best buy doesn't have an Upgrade Option for more complicated installation jobs. You'll have to phone a friend, hire a handyman, or do it yourself.
