“Can the center arm of this mount be moved left or right in order to center a tv where the stud placement makes it off center? And will this mount allow a tv to be moved from being positioned flat against a wall to being positioned in an adjacent corner?”

Hello, this mount does not offer horizontal offset and is not designed to be moved left or right horizontally. It has up to 180 degrees of swivel so you could position it to an adjacent corner depending on your screen size.
