Kse3769, The XBR65X850D has a compatible 300x300 VESA pattern (bolt pattern) and is under the weight capacity of the MTM65PL, should work great! I do not know the exact dimensions of your TV but Sony usually places the bolt pattern very close to the bottom of the TV. If I could make an educated guess I'd say the bottom of the TV would sit about 24" from the ground, maybe a bit less.
