There is no screen protector built into this case. It’s just a simple clip on / slide on, form fitting, designer case. It’s built for fashion not protection. Otter box will have much better protection and durability.

The case itself seems durable enough for most people, and if you add a screen protector, I think it would be fine for 90%+ of drops. If you think you may be rougher on your phone than most, you may want to look into something like an Otterbox.
