“Will these work as a replacement for a 2002 Ford Ranger Tremor 450 watt system? I know the size is right but wonder will they handle the wattage? Kenwood #KFC-C681 speakers”

• Thank you to all that has responded. I checked the factory Pioneer speakers for the Tremor system and they have a 50w rms rating. I feel sure these will hold up better than the originals.

• Based on quick research into your system - these speakers should do just fine. They hand 81W RMS, and I believe your head unit only pushes 50W RMS per channel. Other websites have 50W RMS 6x8 / 5x7 as replacements for your system.

• The answer yes and no. RMS equals continuous power. RMS is 81watts per speaker. Divide 450watt by 4. That's 112.5 RMS. If continually blast your speakers they'll burst. If you keep your sound at 85 percent or lower than you'll be fine.
