“On the DDX8906S that I just purchased and had installed (no complaints) I have a question. On a phone call I hear it ring on the smartphone, nothing in the Stereo Receiver. If I should have my smartphone on vibrate I could miss a call any volume ctrl?”

Not certain what is causing your issues. I had no problems with the phone ringing through the radio without any changes to my phone, even when the phone is on vibrate. I am assuming that your phone is with the bluetooth turned on and your phone shows the BT connection to the radio.
