Android Auto on this fine receiver requires a usb to whichever port cable your phone has in order to work. Google assistant allows some hands free tasks which are limited. I had the usb cable installed in my glove box. I connect the phone and close the glove box and I'm good to go for mapping software, music streaming (Pandora/Skype), phone calls, etc. While this is not a wireless receiver, at this price point, it's a good deal. You can still go bluetooth for music, etc if you wish. Also, I use Waze for mapping and subscribe to Pandora Premium. It's a breeze to connect your phone and both apps are already loaded and ready on the touch screen before I commute. Inbound text messages and other notifications alert you on screen. You can have the text read to you and reply hands-free. I'm still new to this and there may be more, but I love this receiver. Has a built-in adjustable EQ which will enhance the sound of your music compared to a standard manufacturer's receiver. At the end of the day, I have no cables present on my dashboard and I appreciate the clean look combined with all the features I expect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It works via the USB port on the head unit
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From all the info I can gather, it won't work wirelessly. The previous model (dmx7705s) is supposed to do it with Android 11 so maybe it will be supported soon.
