Yes and no you have to link it with its built-in wifi to use the app pretty much have to be in your vehicle to use the app
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The main purpose of connecting your phone is to download footage from my understanding but you can also control the camera through it. You can change the settings, trigger photo and video capture, and tinker around a bit. You cannot turn on/off the camera with your phone. The camera does turn on when you turn the car on though.
