HD receivers do not require a special antenna.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have this radio installed in a 1988 Chevrolet Camaro and i have the radio and the harness to connect it to the car wiring. That is all. It does not require anything else to make it work. The radio had the HD tuner in it and the antenna is the factory installed antenna from 1988. The HD feature works like this.

Please try again later.When Best Buy installed my car Radio they said if the car is not to old it should be fine and I have a 2001 Jetta “POS” and I get HD radio stations just fine and it has were if the station is received in HD quality it will play it if not it will play has standard radio station. And if you need a new antenna they sell them and offered me free installation if my old antenna would not work when they installed the new radio. By the way does not come with an audio jack cable
