• This model has an external mic. My installer put it in the bottom right of my instrument cluster and it picks up very well.

• The Geek squad installed the stereo in my 1996 Jeep Cherokee. They also put a microphone in the vehicle's dash that allows hands free calling. I paid nothing extra for that so I'm assuming it came with the microphone.
