Yes, you can use the reusable2.0 pod to make your own ground coffee in the crafe. We have done this with ours, and set it to the 4-5 cup and filled the pod as full as we can, for a stronger tasting coffee.

No it’s only for single cups. If you want to use it for the carafe, set the carafe as close to the maker as possible without it know that it’s there, and then just brew several cups of coffee. I do recommend using fresh coffee grinds with each cup. This is what i do.
