• I don't know why you shouldn't be able to use the cocoa pods. I have used reusable cup size pods in it & they work fine.

• Thanks for your question! All K-Cup pods, including hot cocoa ones, can be used in the K-Cafe coffee maker. Carafe sized pods are not compatible. We hope this is helpful.
