• Thanks for your question. There is no difference in features or functionality between the Keurig K50 and K-Classic coffee makers, they are the same exact coffee maker. We recently introduced a comprehensive packaging update for this coffee maker, and we needed to update the model number to ensure a seamless transition into the new inventory. Hope this helps!

• At minimum, the differences between the K40 and K50 - Tanks are NOT interchangeable, nor are the filters.

• This is not a rebrand of the K40! I have several K models and this one heats up faster and has a light that lets you know when it is low on water
