QuestionI asked a similar question but guess I was not clear enough. Can I remove the reservoir for filling? I realize it can be placed on either side or the back. But, I need to know if it can be detached for filling at the faucet then returning to the machine

- Answer Thank you for your question. The K-Duo Plus coffee maker does not include a dedicated 'Hot Water' button. However, it can dispense hot water in 6, 8, 10, or 12-ounce amounts by simply running the standard brewing cycle without inserting a K-Cup pod. We hope this information is helpful!

- Answer This carafe keeps coffee HOT for AT LEAST 5 hours!! It's amazing - we are serious coffee drinkers and it is by far the best coffee maker we have ever used. No longer even use our AirPot - it doesn't keep as well!

- Answer There's no warming plate on this one, just an insulated carafe. I think the original K Duo had one, and maybe the K Duo Essentials.

QuestionIs there a way to set it up so it automatically comes on in the morning and shuts off in the evening? Is there a way to set it up so it stays on? Why does it shut off after every cup?

- Answer Thank you for your question. The K-Duo allows you to program the carafe side to brew at a specific time up to 24 hours in advance. Unfortunately, there is no auto-on feature for the K-Cup side. The K-Duo has an automatic off feature that is enabled by default. It powers off the brewer after 5 minutes for the K-Cup side. You can disable the Auto Off feature by turning off the brewer, keeping it plugged in, and pressing and holding the Strong and 10oz buttons for 3 seconds. We hope this helps!

QuestionCan you plumb a water line directly to a Kerig Duo+??

- Answer No you cannot plumb a line to this K-Duo Plus. There is no port for plumbing a line to this machine and you can run a pressurized line to this brewer as everything works only with the reservoir. The base for the water reservoir has two soft plastic water lines that run to the machine. One of the lines runs to a set of sensors that tell the machine if there is enough water to brew. This line with the sensors uses gravity to equal the height of the water in the sensing line with the height of the water in the reservoir. Once the water reaches a low enough level that it no longer covers the sensors the machine registers the need to add water.

QuestionIs it normal to have the brew basket full of standing water when we only use the single cup function? We noticed this has been happening and the water in the brew basket is not hot, its room temperature and that mold is starting to grow in the basket.

- Answer Yes, I did see similar reviews before purchasing mine and have noticed water in my basket too. I just check it after brewing my cups for the day, if there's water, I dump it and let the gold filter dry, replace it and I'm ready to go. I haven't had any mold.
