• Just leave power button on no auto shut off or timer and I have no problem just open put in k cup and coffee cup and push the size you want .

• My coffee pot stays on for a couple of hours and then automatically turns off which I like.

• It’s like a computer, so it enters sleep mode- or become idle after a short time of no use. This is to save energy.
