“I have a K575 I knocked off the counter once (looks all beat up but it still works). I would like to replace it with a newer model but I need to know if the new ones have that stupid optical sensor that makes sure you use "genuine" K-Cups.”

• Actually you can use your own coffee with the k cup you can buy as a accessories..this one does not have that sensor...

• Not sure what "genuine" K-Cups are, but I used Walmart brand "Donut Shop" and "Hot Milk Chocolate" with no issues.

• This will use any kcup. Keurig to walmart's great value brand.
