“Does it work to just heat water if you use a tea bag instead of the pod?”

• It would be better to steep the bag in hot water. If you put the tea bag where the pod belongs, you will just have hot water. Most teas need to steep for 4-5 minutes.

• You can just run it with water and no coffee pod in order to get hot water. But if it is normally used for coffee, the water will have some residual coffee taste.
