“Can I purchase a metal reusable k-cup since I am concerned with the use of plastics with hot temperatures. I have a metal K-cup reusable that works with My Bunn but need to buy a new machine so am researching. Thanks.”

So the design of the plastic is meant for the temperatures the machine brews at. Your average cup of coffee is 160-170*F right off the press. Plastic doesn’t melt until much hotter temperatures. Think of your plastic dishes/utensils around the house. If it will make you feel better then by all means use a metal one but these temps won’t even bother the reusable filter.
