I have a kicker kxa 1200.1 which puts out 1200 watts rms. Once i broken in my subs i can turn the amp up all the way with very little clipping, but i don’t touch my bass boost or ill easily blow the subs. A simple amp running 600-1000 watts rms would be fine
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1000 watt (max) mono amp with the gain all the way up provides plenty of power for my system running this box and subs in my impala. If you want a bit more power but dont want as much stress on your amp, get a 1200 watt ( max) mono amp and leave the gain about 3/4 up, or you can still push these speakers and amp a little more at max gain. I wouldnt recommend any bigger amp than 1200 watts for this box,because of distortion and risk of blowing voice coils. Hope this helped.
