You can always run over rms with clean power..if your clipping your done..fried subs..if your in a sealed box..remember..that sub at full tilt is like a toaster..runem hard too long..fried voice coils. And for the price..you can do bett r than kicker b

Please try again later.To be totally honest with you, I have that amp and was running those subs and had it set with the SMD , and my birth sheet on my amp saysc1276 watts. Those subs are rated 500 rms 1000watts max. So over that 500 yes will burn up the coils. My subs smelled like burning rubber. And I had everything set to specs. Now I have that amp at 1ohm load going to 2 10inch SDR dual skar audio 10's and they pound hard. They are 600 watts rms 1200 max. So taking my 1276 divided by 2 comes out to 638 a sub. That's ok.
