• No, you can use just the first set of RCA jacks and push the fader button to output sound to all 4 channels(front & rear).

• The rcas on the top are for that channel and on the bottom are for that channel. it all depends what component you are using

• no theres a button that you can press so that you can only hook up the rca cables on 1-2 channels and you will have power on all channels that a great feature from kicker less cables
