The higher peak will not make as much of a difference as the RMS rating of your sub. The peak watt is not often used, only when the sub hits a peak. The RMS is the constant use range. If the 12" sub I viewed is the same, you're pushing 750 RMS. What is the off brand amp you are using? What is the RMS? This amp runs at 600 RMS @ 2 ohms and 300 RMS @ 4 ohms. Need a little more information to compare the switch. The brand isn't much of an issue.
