• Yes, when I listen to talk radio or just want to hear voice no bass, the knob can turn all the bass down or crank it up for the tunes.

• The remote gain control can turn the gain all the way down and back up. It cannot turn the volume on your amplified speakers down. You would have to have a head unit with a non-fader to do so or if you have a speaker tap for your amp they make some with the same type of dial so you can turn the input signal all the way down essentially shutting down the amp feed
