QuestionWhat kind of ice does this machine make? One person answered chunk ice. Not sure what that means. Is it small cube like dice ice?

- Answer Sure it's the same as the KA ice maker I've had and loved for years. Its cutting grid makes 3/4" x 3/4"x 1/2" thick cubes of delicious ice. Mine is an older model -- the newer ones may permit adjustment to the cube thickness..

- Answer Hi Penny, this unit does not have a pump installed when you purchase it. However, there is one available for it. The part number for the pump is 1901A. We hope this information helps.

- Answer The door is hinged on the side, and is reversible. The bin 'door' inside drops down, and goes back up automatically.

- Answer It does not. Passive draining. Ruined my basement drywall after pulling it out, didn't get the drain back in the pipe correctly. Ugh. Also ice isn't frozen, there is no refrigeration, so it drains constantly.
