From what you say, this refrigerator will indeed work. This refrigerator depth excluding the doors is 24 1/8 inch. [You have to leave the doors protruding beyond the opening or they won't open.] So, you have plenty of space. You just wouldn't push it up against the back wall of the space you're fitting it into.
