• YES!!! its loud!! our makes a very annoying buzz and we have an open kitchen/living/dining room. AVOID!!

• Not really..all fridges have different sounds. Only thing thats "noisy" is when the ice maker drops unloads the tray. Makes a different noise than the LG we got rid after 18 months of horrible repairs, warranty, irregular cooling cycles...when you buy make sure you get a good 5 year plan. It worked for us with lotsa calls...but after 8 weeks got every cent back.
