Hello! You will be able to locate a plastic clip on lower left side with tab. Please press tab in to rotate tines. If you are not going to run the Dishwasher for several days, running a rinse cycle will help from food particles getting caked on. Thank you for your inquiry on our KitchenAid appliances.
