It says LIFT on either end. However, the holes are actually 3 or 4 different sized ovals. My largest dinnerware knives and soup spoons fit. I suggest take those items with you to the store and try it. I took a large sheet pan with me to see if it would fit. Many other brands that wouldn’t fit. All of my normal items fit.
