Q: QuestionI know this is a 27" oven, but in my case each fraction of an inch less is very valuable as my counter tops have a wonky edge. Does anyone happen to know the exact inches of the door only across? & then what the door plus the skirt is across? Thank you!

• A:Answer The manufacturer has very precise measurements online...but even easier is to have the appliance section of your Best Buy send out people that will come out and take measurements and help with your question. This was a free service at my Best Buy.

Q: QuestionHave a new 17" Built in Double oven. The floor below the bottom oven is warm to hot when I use the upper oven. I have not used the lower oven. Should the oven heat the floor up? Thank you.

• A:Answer The "vent" that directs the heat out of your oven(s) is at the bottom of the lower oven which keeps heat from building up inside your cabinetry The "vent" has a flange that causes the flow of warm air downward. Depending on how far from the floor this vent is would affect how warm the floor would get. The only concern I would have is whether or not the surface of your floor has a top layer with a coating that could blister or warp over time if it got too hot. You might want to ask your oven installer if the ovens are too close to your flooring.

Q: QuestionWhen installed, what is the height from the base to the top of unit (with no feet used, only spacers). The manual says the max height is 51 3/16, but I am not sure if that is with feet. When I measure (with no feet, only spacers), I get around 50.5.

Q: QuestionI would really like to buy this oven but not when it is never on sale. The same KitchenAid oven but in a 30" size is currently on sale at $1150 less. I need a 27" not 30" and I am not happy about paying more for a smaller oven. Help please.

• A:Answer This is ridiculous. Now I am being told by KitchenAid to ask Best Buy why the 27" never goes on sale for the same price as the 30". Before I even asked KitchenAid I did ask Best Buy and they said to ask KitchenAid. Sounds like passing the buck to me.

• A:Answer A great question that I should have asked before they brought it out to install for me. I would HIGHLY recommend that you have the folks from the appliance section of your Best Buy come out and measure the openings and depths. This was a free service at my Best Buy. I had ordered a 24 inch oven because that is what I had before and this brand was too small. As it turned out, the Best Buy folks figured out that if we had our carpenter increase the opening about an inch and move the electrical box up, we had enough room for the 27 inch model which turned out to be less expensive than the 24 inch--go figure. So far so good.
