“Why is light so dim in microwave, I can barely see inside”

This question is for: KitchenAid - 27" Built-In Electric Convection Double Wall Combination with Microwave and Air Fry Mode - Stainless Steel

We've had this exact unit for months now, and our microwave light is nice and bright. So, there must be something that needs fixing in your unit.

I don’t believe it’s the light, I believe it’s the protective coating/film on the inside of the glass on the oven door that causes “darkness” by obscuring visibility. This appears to be the case with all microwave ovens.

Yes, the ight is so dim in microwave, I can barely see inside. Also when I used the oven the first time, I noticed several pieces of glass that apparently came from the right side light cover. KirchenAid customer service never came back to me.
