Q: QuestionJust purchased this range. Wondering what the left back "melt" burner is used for. Is it more like a simmer burner? Is it able to boil water in a teapot or sauce pan? Use it like any other burner?

• A:Answer The 5th burner is a warmer only. Only 1 temperature on the warmer. There’s no selections for higher temp. I use it to keep my teapot water warm or you can warm butter or keep gravy warm.

• A:Answer honestly i dont know. i have only had it a week or two. i can look and see if theres a fan in the back. theres no button to put on for a fan to turn on and cool if that is what you are looking for. Honestly i am loving the top small oven. So far it has fit every item i need to bake or broil. the stove top is tricky, give me another 6 months and maybe i will get it all worked out. Sorry I am not much help

• A:Answer Bebe, model KFDD500ESS, the ovens are AquaLift® Self Clean. There is a Steam Bake function on lower oven. The ovens can on at the same time at different temperatures. For one year from the date of purchase, when this major appliance is installed, operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product, KitchenAid brand of Whirlpool Corporation or Whirlpool Canada, LP (hereafter “KitchenAid”) will pay for factory specified replacement parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship that existed when this major appliance was purchased or, at its sole discretion replace the product. • A:Answer The one larger burner is fine for boiling, the other larger is so so. One of the smaller might work but I have not tried it. One is for a warmer. The other smaller one probably would not boil. Not very please with the ease of control to get the right amount of heat I want on any of the burners. I like the double ovens but would probably search more for a better appliance if and when I do it over again.
