- Answer Hi Ed. If the burners are wet it can cause them to spark. Please make sure that they are all dry before you turn on the Cooktop. We hope this helps!

Model KCGS556 are: Cutout Depth (in) 19 13/16, Cutout Depth Max (in) 20, Cutout Height (in) 5 1/4, Cutout Width (in) 35 3/16, Cutout Width Max (in) 35 5/8, Depth 21, Height 3 11/16", Width 36". They would need to match in order to fit correctly.

QuestionHi. The four outside burners turn on but when I try to turn on the middle burner, they all go off. The middle burner does not turn on independently. Do we need to replace the burner or is there another problem? Thank you.

- Answer I have not installed the cooktop yet but intend to do so on The day after tomorrow. I will have the problem checked then. Did you call kitchen aid? If I have a problem I will come back and let you know. This doesn't sound right.

- Answer No, it isn’t in constantly. It has an ignition lighter that turns it on when you turn the burned on.
