• Yes both turn on when u open either door. You can also turn the lights on manually.

• Both ovens are well lite. They come on upon opening the oven(s) door.

• Both have bright lights that come on when doors are opened or when you select them to be on. If you turn them on they both come on. The lower over (bigger) light burnt out within the first year. I have not replaced it yet.
