Make sure your mixing bowl is properly seated on the mixer stand. If the wires still make contact, perhaps the wires are misshaped. It could happen in shipping or unpacking if mishandled. Over time products may become damaged through regular use as well. If your product is new, I recommend returning to where it was purchased and ask to compare it with another prior to getting an exchange.
