“is this the correct cover for the 6 quart mixer?”

• this cover is a bit short. i bought it for my 6 quart mixer (kitchenaid) and it is about 1-2 inches above the counter top. wish it covered it completely, but it does not.

• Not really. You can get the cover over the motor housing of the larger mixers with the 6 quart bowls, but it'll be about two inches too short to come all the way down. I guess it depends on whether you want the entire mixer covered.
