“Just received this KitchenAid KCO255BM Dual Convection Countertop Toaster Oven and not sure if this is normal or not but the fans seem to make a fairly loud humming sound that winds up for a bit and then winds down, over and over. Is the oven defective?”

• It is normal to hear the fans to make a humming noise when the unit is being used.
