Hi Lee, The Pro 5 and Pro 6 stand mixers have metal gears. KitchenAid does offer a 5 quart mixing bowl that fits the Pro 600. Please contact KitchenAid directly at 1-800-541-6390 for further assistance in regards to an authorized service center in Minnesota.
