• I would. They are open frame in contrast to a Yamaha that is closed back.

• The instructions say it is not required but I had some scrap lumber and just put some boards in between rafters and a piece of plywood over the top couldn’t tell any difference in the sound I just felt better knowing it would keep the insulation out of the speaker
