“Where's the earphone jack for private listening? If I put the sub under my desk, will I have to reach under the desk and spin the sub around any time I want to plug or unplug headphones? I'm assuming any kind of plugging in mutes the speakers for the headphones.....?”

Earphone jack is on the side of one of the left or right speakers that one would assume is next to your monitor and ready for you to plug in with ease. It does shut off the speakers when you are jacked in.
