These are the Newer Model of the R-820F. So they should be better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had R-620F at front position with R-610F surrounds and R-51M rears and I bought a pair of these to replace the 620s in front and pushed them back to the surround, 610 at rear. I did this to fill a gap between the 6. 5" and my dual R-12SW subs and they did that and much more. These speakers are physically quite a bit larger and they sound it They are far more present delivering a lot more bass and the bigger tweeter horn also makes a difference on the high notes. They handle a lot more power and it shows. They can be a little lacking in the mid range being only 2 way speakers whereas the 620s have that with the 6.5"woofers but they lack the good deep bass of the 8"woofers that these have. Hope this helps. If you have the 620s and can keep them and use them with these they compliment each other very well but if I had to choose only 1 pair it would be these because I'm a bass head. If I preferred more mid range oriented listening I would choose the 620s
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't know how they actually compare but Im extremely happy with my 800, center and Subs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The R-800F will have a wider range (frequency response) and a higher maximum output. The R-800F will also require more power since it is using larger woofer drivers (150 Watts at 8 Ohms).
