Hello, Yes, they can. I also have a pair of these for fronts in my home theatre setup, and the 2 just recently purchased are for my stereo setup in a different room. My 7.1 home theatre set up are all Klipsch and they sound great ;o).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes for the front, way too powerful for the rear speakers. I also would not recommend the Klipsh center speaker. For my center speaker and both rear speakers I am using Aiwa and get phenominal results.
