I have a 4 yr. old Sony Reciever 125 per channel 7.2 If you are only running 2 channels you should be fine. Make sure you have the copper connection that connect the bottom and top of the speakers. Mine came with, so I don’t need to Bi-Amp them. After a few minor adjustments to the reciever by upping the decibel output to max. Now they sound absolutely beautiful, I use my old RF-26 Towers for my rears, surround sound is awesome.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These Klipsch speakers can absolutely handle the power from that reciever. The pioneer SX-1080 only puts out 120 Watts continuous but the Klipsch can take up to 150 watts continuous and 600 Watts peak! Get the speakers, you will be happy you did!
